Saturday, December 21st
On Yule, the Winter's Solstice, the darkness fades as the light returns from the Source. Yule is the beginning of the cycle of light. The Source, the well from which all magick springs, is renewed each Winter's Solstice. On the longest night of the year, join us as we honor the Child of Promise who lives within each of us, and as we align our light with the light of the Solstice Sun. We are reminded of the fire we each have inside of us as we kindle that light and ensure the spread of its warmth to all in our communities in these dark times.
We encourage you to bring poinsettias to help decorate the altar, which you may take home with you after the ritual.
PLEASE NOTE THE EARLIER START TIME FOR THIS EVENT!
- Doors open at 4:30, and the ritual will begin promptly at 5pm. If you arrive and the ritual is already in progress, please enter quietly and join us.
- Ritual attire appropriate to the season is encouraged! If you need help or ideas about what to wear, reach out here or via Meetup Messages to either Marge or Amy.
- Feast to Follow: A community potluck will follow the ritual; please bring food or drink to share. If you bring something home-cooked, it's helpful if you can label it appropriately (e.g. "vegan," "gluten-free," "beef stew," "contains shellfish," "turnips, carrots, tomato sauce, barley, & olive oil," etc.).
- Don't forget your $5 per person recommended donation to help cover costs of supplies, and the rental of the Meeting House. Hearth's Home depends on this small contribution — or whatever you can afford — to help keep us alive!
